I'm Juan, a Colombian photographer based in London and the founder of Vela Studio.

For nearly a decade, I’ve been helping brands, businesses, and individuals bring their vision to life through impactful photography. Specialising in fashion, commercial, product, and event photography, I create imagery that goes beyond aesthetics—capturing stories, emotions, and the unique identity behind every project.

My journey began as a freelance photographer, where I developed experience across a wide range of industries, from fashion editorials and sports photography to commercial campaigns and branded content. Those experiences shaped my creative approach and reinforced my belief that great photography is about more than just creating beautiful images; it’s about building meaningful connections through visual storytelling.
